New Member Coffees

This year we have planned two New Member Coffees in honor of our new members and guests.  These get-togethers are a great opportunity for new and potential members to meet other members in an informal setting.  You will be able to find out more details about our fun events and learn how you can get involved in our community service projects.  Also, please feel free to bring other potential members with you.  As always, children are welcome and refreshments will be served.

If you have any questions about the New Member Coffees, contact Kathy Murdoch at 305-794-9500.

Hospitality

The Hospitality committee is responsible for providing our members with food and beverages during our monthly meetings and for organizing the December and May brunches.  This group solicits area businesses for donations to be used at the meetings, collects the donated items, and makes purchases of any other necessary items.  The Hospitality committee is also responsible for setting up the food and beverage area the morning of the monthly meeting and cleaning up the area at the conclusion of the meeting.  If you are interested in helping in this area, contact Dena Lundy at 305-378-6828 or dixiepin@aol.com.

Emergency Resources

The Emergency Resources committee is the SFPPTA’s helping hand for our members.  This committee calls upon volunteers to provide everything from hot meals to babysitting services to other members during family events such as new births, hospital stays, and family emergencies.  The Emergency Services committee coordinates our members to lend a helping hand when it is needed.

For more information, please contact Karine Lapointe at 305-386-2153 or kapath@bellsouth.net.

Playgroups

Playgroups are a chance for members’ children to play with each other and for moms to socialize, usually on a weekly basis.  The purpose of the playgroup committee is to help establish new playgroups and to identify a coordinator for each playgroup

If you would like to join a playgroup or find out more information, please contact the Playgroup Coordinator, Jeanette Townsend at 786-581-9809 or jmtown2000@yahoo.com.
